Lemon + Ginger Wellness Shots

I love these shots in the morning to jump start my day! The spice from the cayenne wakes me up and the ginger and lemon juice are great immunity boosters! They are super easy to make at home, so I thought I’d let you peep how we make them!

Ingredients / Equipment:

  • 4 large lemons

  • 1 medium piece of ginger

  • Cayenne Pepper

  • Juicer or Citrus Press

  • Blender

  • Cheese cloth or beverage (fine mesh) strainer

Instructions:

Juice lemons with juicer or citrus press. Ideally, you’ll want between 1-2 oz of juice per shot.

Peel ginger and cube into 1/4 inch pieces. If working with a juicer, you don’t need to peel it and can throw it right into your juicer.

If you’re working with a blender, toss the lemon juice and cubed ginger into blender and blend on high for 10-20 seconds.

Remove from juicer and strain out ginger particles with a beverage strainer or cheese cloth.

Sprinkle cayenne pepper on top and enjoy!

Note: You can also add orange juice, turmeric, beet juice or other immunity boosting ingredients to enjoy!
