Epicurean San Diego is uniquely aware of the environmental impacts that the events and tourism industry has on our planet. With keeping our promise of exceptional, unwavering, radical hospitality we honor sustainable practices to reduce our impact and support a local, thriving economy.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

We believe in keeping everything as local as possible. We work with local family owned small businesses from restaurants, farms, coffee roasters and chocolate makers to event rental companies, insurance services and marketing agencies. We believe a thriving local economy is key to the sustainability and the future of San Diego.

ORGANIC + NATURAL

We believe in organic food, natural wine and sustainable sourcing. If items served at our events are not Certified Organic, we ensure the farming and sourcing methods of said items are responsible, without pesticides, hormones and antibiotics and locally grown.

NUTRIENT DENSE FOOD

We work with local chefs who source ingredients for our seasonal menus as locally as possible. We are dedicated to serving food that is in season, responsibility raised and harvested, organic, nutrient dense and good for you. We take extra steps to ensure we are minimizing our food waste and compost whenever possible.

SAY NO TO SINGLE USE

We whole-heartedly believe in not creating anymore single-use waste then what our planet is already trying to recover from. We use real plates, linen napkins, real glassware and silverware for our events. In the off-chance that single-use items are needed, they are responsibly sourced and always compostable.

COMPOSTING + RECYCLING

We strive to recycle and compost as much as possible. We leave our events with no-trace. Our leftover kitchen scraps become chicken food and our wine bottles recycled back to wineries.

OFFICE + MARKETING

All menus and marketing materials printed in-house and off-site are printed on recycled paper.

GUEST INVOLVEMENT

We encourage our guests to bring their own water canteen, a reusable shopping bag for any purchases, and educate them on proper recycling and composting at events. We offer a variety of Corporate Social Responsibility events to help your team give back while indulging along the way!

LOCAL GIVE BACKS

A portion of the proceeds from each event is donated back to a local farm partner in the name of our client. That can look like having a tree planted, seeds purchased, equipment maintained, supplies purchased. We partner with local non-profits and donate a portion of our proceeds to food focused organizations that tackle local hunger relief efforts.
